President’s Message

“Happy Zooming…
Wandering Foot Quilt Guild had it first Zoom Conference activity with 14 members; we had a quorum as indicated by our Parliamentarian. This gave us an opportunity to discuss, review and vote on activities that were scheduled in April, May and June. It was great to see that our Board members were working on their projects, making masks and looking to provide additional classes using the zoom application. The next Board meeting for the May 6, 2020, has been created and will be sent out a week before with an agenda. I encourage all guild members to join our Boarding meeting going forward. At this time, we’re limited to 30 individuals on the free zoom application. An additional 15 individuals will be allowed to participate. Please provide me with your e-mail address if you wish to join at your earliest convenience.
Our Newsletter will continued to be published in order to keep our membership informed what is happening under the current pandemic crises. I ask our members to submit photos of what they have been working on and to share among our members. “So, let’s get sewing…
Regina Danner, our Challenged Chair presented our first Zoom Jelly-Row class, which was scheduled for April 25, 2020. What I understand is that there were eleven guild members who participated. In addition, Regina created a YouTube video which was used to prepare our members prior to the class.
There are some changes coming to our Guild going forward as a result of this pandemic. These recommendations will be discussed at our upcoming Board Meeting(s). I will also keep the Arcadia Community Church in the loop.
Closing Statement for this month: “When the Going Get Tough, the Tough Get’s Sewing… Cherry Berry Quilts
