President’s Message
Manny Caldera, President
“Happy Full Moon, August 22, 2021
What happen? “Well let me tell you…
On August 4, 2021, The Wandering Foot Quilt Guild (WFQG) decided and voted “not” to return back to In-Person-Meetings until January 2022. The concern is the increase of the Delta Variance. Our 1st. V.P. of Program’s, Terry Simon and Linda Rasmussen will work on developing programs going forward until the end of the year. Fourteen members were present at our meeting.
I left a message with Erin, our contact person with Arcadia Community Church with the results of WFQG Board meeting when we will return back to the church and how that will play out with our contract and payments going forward.
Our Mega Fabric Sale, which was scheduled for October 8-9, 2021 has been “cancel” as well because of the Delta Variance. This will be table until check year.
Our next major event will be Mentor Night. Kim Greenfield has developed an outstanding group of gifted members who will present their skills. Cindy Caldera: “Cross Stitch”, Terry Simon: “To Tim or not to Trim”, Bobbie Moon: “Everything you wanted to know about Fabric, but were afraid to ask!”, Louise Jandura: “Back Basting Applique”, Linda Rasmussen: “Binding and how to end it”.
Our 2nd. V.P., of Workshops, Elizabeth Phinder will present a new “Mystery Quilt” Workshop beginning August 28, 2021 and September 25, 2021. Please e-mail Elizabeth to receive your instructions for the first mystery.
“Be safe, keep sewing and I will see you on Mentor-Night…
